Hey friends,

Stopped at my buds house, Ken aka to get on the road to Maryland. He was still making his prints. Bugger! I helped, did some things to prep for the road and after 12am, we were set to drive.

We got to my brother's ex's house after 3am and I crashed on the couch while Ken took the guest room. I had a nightmare and woke up saying, "No no no!" No sweat... it was time for breakfast anyhow. I made an omlete du framage (Dexter fans know this... also speaking french doesn't hurt). The sausage was expired so I had to throw that away in mid sizzle. Heheh. Her parents were so nice, especially in the morning. Thanks Kendal for letting us crash at your house for a night. She offered to put us up again but it was a bit of a ways to commute from her house to the con everyday.

Otakon was pretty. I didn't do so well the first day, but then again, that is when everyone comes and gets situtated. The beginning of Saturday was the same. Only after a brave soul came and asked me for a commission did a lot of others see my capabilities and requested commissions from me as well.

I had the pleasure of doing a commission for a repeat customer, Matt, who impressed Omar Dogan enough for him to draw his custom character. Thanks again Matt.

I would say I had a good time at Otakon. The Artists Alley always closes late and there is no one to watch our stuff until it does close so I couldn't go chill at a bar or anything.

I waited in a line of cars for 3 hours when it was over just to pick up a few boxes of my art equipment... that stunk. I wanted to go eat with my Philly buds after and have a kind of fairwell meal but they thought I left already because of the waiting in traffic.

A big shout out to some special people who baught my prints, got commissions, and basically hung out at my table the whole con and also are DA deviants.

I lucked out so bad. I am good buddies with the Founders of Media Blasters... a company that distributes Asian DVDs, books, toys and more. I did a Kim Possible in Batgirl suit for John Patterson and got a great deal on the Voltron remastered DVD's. Until this moment... that is still probably the most memorable part of the con (aside from seeing my Philly squad I haven't seen in a while).
